Henry has worked for the Town for the last five years as the Code Enforcement Officer. His fellow coworkers nominated him for this honor because of his compassion for his coworkers and the citizens of the Town.

The Academy is an eight week program that is designed to build a stronger relationship between the community and the police department through education. It is open to residents and individuals who work in the Town of Matthews. The Academy will begin March 18.
The Town of Matthews will mail out Privilege License invoices the first of March. The invoices will be due April 30. To do business in Matthews, and most municipalities in North Carolina you need a privilege license.
It is time to stand up and be counted. The 2010 Census surveys will start arriving in mailboxes in early March. The survey features 10 questions that will take about 10 minutes to answer.
The Town of Matthews has received a positive audit. Each year the Town is audited by an independent firm in order to ensure that all financial statements and accounts are in compliance with all laws and regulations. Once again the Town of Matthews was found to be on very firm financial footing.
The County’s popular Piedmont Landscape and Naturescape Training (PLANT) program is back with a fresh series of four-hour composting classes that begin on February 27. These classes offer hands-on training in yard care that is aesthetically pleasing, affordable and eco-friendly.
