NCDOT TO IMPROVE A SECTION OF INDEPENDENCE POINTE PARKWAY IN MECKLENBURG COUNTY

CHARLOTTE – The N.C. Department of Transportation will be putting funds from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act to work on 0.2 miles of Independence Pointe Parkway (State Road 4497) in Matthews beginning Wednesday, July 14, weather permitting.

The $245,000 contract was awarded to Blythe Development Co. of Charlotte to mill and resurface Independence Pointe Parkway between Matthews-Mint Hill Road and N.C. 51.
Work will take place primarily at night and is expected to be complete August 27.
