The Matthews Kiwanis Club will sponsor a 5K Run and Family Fun Run during Matthews Alive on Monday, September 6, at Stumptown Park. This is the 20th anniversary of the event. The 5K will begin at 8 a.m. and the Family Fun Run starts at 8:45 a.m.
Proceeds from the event are used to purchase school supplies and clothes for area children. 5K preregistration is $20 or $25 the day of the event. The Family Fun Run is $10. Free t-shirts will be given to the first 200 runners registered.
