In celebration of National Community Planning Month in Matthews, the Town of Matthews Planning Board is looking for a student who is interested in making a difference in the Town’s future development. The Planning Board wants a youthful perspective as they decide issues on the future growth within Matthews. They are adding a non-voting member position at the dais for an eligible teen.
If you are interested in sharing your desires for your community we want to hear from you. You must be a resident of Matthews, enrolled in high school and interested in a career in planning or public administration. Planning Board meetings are held on the 4th Tuesdays of each month at 7 p.m. You would serve the remainder of this school year.
