Alicia Murph has been named the 2010 Outstanding Business License Official by the N.C. Business License Association. She received the award at the association’s annual conference in Asheville last week. Alicia is the Finance Specialist and Revenue Collector for the Town of Matthews.
Alicia was recognized for her efforts to revamp the technical procedures used by the Town and business owners to complete the privilege license process. She has also produced a step by step guide that aids Town employees and businesses in their understanding of privilege licenses.
She serves as treasurer of the N.C. Business License Association. A graduate of Appalachian State University she worked for the Town of Blowing Rock before joining the Town of Matthews in 2008.
