The Town of Matthews would like to remind you to bag your leaves. We will collect your leaves ONLY IF they are placed in clear bags and placed at your curb. There is a 20 bag limit per week per residence.
Please do not rake or blow leaves into the street or into a stormwater drain or ditch. When you do this you can cause stoppages and flooding in your neighborhood. Blocking stormwater drains is a violation of federal and town laws and could result in a civil fine of up to $1,000.
Please place your Christmas tree at the curb and the Town will dispose of it. Remember to remove everything – lights, ornaments, and decorations - from the tree. This prevents injuries from broken glass and other items as county staff members grind the trees into mulch.
