The Matthews Historical Foundation has finalized program plans for their upcoming Community Meeting to be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, February 23 at the Matthews Public Library, 232 Matthews Station Street, in downtown Matthews. Hear American History come alive as Howard Burnham, renowned character actor, portrays controversial Revolutionary War hero Thomas Sumter, also known as the Carolina Gamecock, for whom Fort Sumter (of Civil War fame) is named.  
 
No registration required this free program is being hosted through the collaboration of the Matthews Historical Foundation and the Charlotte Mecklenburg Library Matthews. This event has been made possible through the generous support from our donors, The Morris Family.    
 
Mark your calendars and plan to attend this interesting and informative meeting. Refreshments will be served.
