The Town of Matthews is bringing the beach to you and your family. The Town will host its third annual BeachFest Matthews April 29-30 in downtown Matthews. The weekend will feature free beach music concerts by The Tams, Sea Cruz, Tropic Culture and the Tim Clark Band. Presenting Sponsor for the event is Presbyterian Hospital – Matthews.

Sandy Feet 5K and Fun Run, presented by the Matthews Civitan Club, is Saturday, April 30 at Stumptown Park. The 5K begins at 8 a.m. followed by the 1K Fun Run at 9 a.m. The 5K is a USA Track and Field certified course.
Proceeds from the event will benefit Special Olympics and other local charities who work to make the lives of people with developmental disabilities better. Register online at www.sandyfeet5K.com. Online registration is $20 before April 26 and $25 after April 26. Day of race registration is $25. All 5K runners will receive a free t-shirt. The1K Fun Run is free.
