As part of a national community planning assistance effort by the American Planning Association (APA), Crestdale will undergo an intensive planning study by a team of national planning experts. Jason Beske, AICP, a Senior Planner for Overland Park, Kansas, is the leader of the Crestdale project’s team, which consists of four other pro-bono planning experts from around the country. Beske visited Monday June 27th, followed by the full team of experts who will visit during the week beginning July 18th to engage Crestdale residents and interview local experts to help establish a new vision for the historic neighborhood.

The American Planning Association (APA) received applications from communities for planning assistance across the country through its Community Planning Assistance Team (CPAT) initiative and selected the Crestdale neighborhood in April.
