Carlo McKoy has joined the Town of Matthews as a part-time Code Enforcement Officer. He will be available to work with citizens and business owners during the day, evening and on weekends when necessary, on issues pertaining to the code enforcement.
“I look forward to using my general contractor and accounting experience to help find solutions that work for both the Town, the citizen and business owner,” McKoy said.
Carlo is a native of North Carolina and has a degree in accounting from N.C. Central University. He earned a master’s in business administration from the University of Wisconsin – Madison and is a certified public accountant.
His work experience includes working with IBM as a cost management financial analyst and for the last 15 years he has owned and operated Gem Custom Homes.
Carlo is a member of Greater Mt. Sinai Baptist Church where he is a trustee and Sunday School teacher. He and his wife, Gail, have two sons, Brandon and Byron.
This position was previously held by Henry Snyder who retired from the Town.
