The public is invited to attend the Town of Matthews Healthy Business, Healthy Community Summit. The event will be held from 11:30 a.m. -1:30 p.m. on Friday, November 18 at Town Hall, 232 Matthews Station Street. Lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m. for those who have time to network before the program begins at noon.
Sessions Include:
A Healthy Workplace (Healthy Eating During the Business Day and the Impact of Healthcare Costs for Your Business) – Dr. Mike Smith, who is a practicing naturopathic physician and an expert in natural medicine. Dr. Smith founded Carolinas Natural Health Center, the leading holistic wellness center in the Carolinas, where he empowers people to better health. He is adept at working with conditions ranging from autism, diabetes, auto-immune diseases, digestive disorders, anxiety, depression, and chronic fatigue.
He will be joined by Dianne Thomas, Market Support Manager, Novant Health - Corporate Health and Network Development as they moderate this session.
Jim Dunn, owner of Dunn Enterprises, which is a Sales Force Development firm specializing in Sales and Management Training and Advicoach David Feldman, who has over 25 years of experience in working with businesses and individuals to achieve their business goals will speak about Business Health (Goal Setting for 2012 and Marketing)
A Healthy Matthews – Matthews Mayor Jim Taylor will speak about Town projects that relate to a healthy lifestyle for residents.
