Gingerbread House Contest Announced

The Matthews Alive Foundation is hosting a Gingerbread House Contest in conjunction with the Town of Matthews “Hometown Holidays Festivities”.

The contest is open to anyone. There are 3 categories child, adult, and families. The “house” can be any imaginative dwelling and must be made with edible materials. The entry can be dropped off during the week of November 28, 2011. All entrees must be in by December 2, 2011. Entries should be delivered to the Matthews Library for children’s category and Matthews Chamber of Commerce for adults and family category. Cash prizes will be awarded in each category: first place $75.00, second place $50.00, and third place $25.00. Houses will be judged on Dec 3rd before the Hometown Holidays festivities.
