The Town of Matthews Planning Board has selected Emily Ashkin to provide a youthful perspective as they decide issues on the future growth within Matthews. She will serve on the board for one year and will be a non-voting member of the board.

Jim Giles, Chair of the Matthews Planning Board, said, “We are pleased to have Emily’s input. During the application process for this position it was evident that Emily had done her homework and is excited about planning issues and the young people who live here.”
