Matthews Police D.A.R.E. Officer Karen Greene is pleased to announce Crown Point Elementary School’s D.A.R.E. Graduation Essay Winners.
D.A.R.E. is a police officer-led series of classroom lessons that teaches children that are in the fifth grade about the significant dangers of drug and substance abuse. They are taught how to resist peer pressure and live productive drug and violence- free lives. Students are also required to write an essay to graduate from their D.A.R.E. Program.
“Taking a Stand” Essay Winners were: Matthews Smith, D’Angello Wright, Alexis Tooker, Skyler Graham, Adam Johnsen, and Maddie Schultz.
