The next meeting of the Economic Development Advisory Committee will be held on Thursday, February 16, 2012 at 7:00 am in the Jordan Room at Matthews Town Hall. 

 

Matthews seeks a collaborative relationship with businesses as they work to achieve success in the world's economy. Priorities include: regional innovation, private/public partnerships with developers to bring businesses and industries with job opportunities and competitive salaries; environmentally sustainable development and more. We work with existing businesses as well as businesses that may potentially locate in the Town.

The Town is fortunate to have educational institutions in its midst that offer advanced degrees, undergraduate degrees and workforce training - Wingate University - Matthews and Central Piedmont Community College (CPCC). CPCC has an Institute for Entrepreneurship that provides both free and fee based courses that help you start, grow and manage businesses of every size.
 
 
Facade Grant program
 
The Town has grant funds available for businesses in the downtown area for Facade Improvements. We hope that you will take advantage of this opportunity.
