Fleet Maintenance

The Fleet Maintenance Division's mission is to service and repair all of the Town's equipment and vehicles in the most cost-effective method possible.  

At present time, that is being accomplished with a staff of one Fleet manager, two technicians and one parts clerk. The Division services 68 Police Department vehicles, 17 Fire/EMS Department vehicles, four Parks & Recreation vehicles, 72 Public Works vehicles/equipment and over 150 pieces of small equipment, such as chain saws, weed trimmers, etc.

Building Maintenance 

The Building Maintenance Division is responsible for maintaining all of the buildings in the Town of Matthews. Our internal staff is licensed to work on electric, hvac, fire prevention system, security systems and plumbing. There has been a concerted effort to maximize energy efficiency with newly installed systems.
