The Sandy Feet 5K and Fun Run presented by the Matthews Civitan Club. Proceeds will be donated to local charities that support individuals with developmental disabilities and Special Olympics.

The Sandy Feet 5K and Fun Run will be held on May 1, 2010 as part of the Town of Matthews' BeachFest. The 5K will start at 9:00AM and the Fun Run will follow at 10:00AM. The 5K course will be on a USATF certified route and the Fun Run will be a 1K. During the race, beach music will be provided by All the Right Grooves to get you in the mood. Afterwards, stay and enjoy the BeachFest festivities. There will be food, drinks, rides, music, games and crafts! Included in the registration fee is a race t-shirt. Entry to the BeachFest is free.
