MATTHEWS: Matthews Fire & EMS Officials would like to remind you that your address needs to be prominently displayed at your residence. In case of a police, fire or medical emergency every minute counts. If we cannot locate your residence quickly this impacts how soon we can help you. Additionally, North Carolina now has a law that mandates that each residence and business must have their addresses prominently displayed.
We encourage you to purchase a reflective address marker that attaches to your mailbox. The consistency of everyone having the same sign in the same location enables emergency personnel searching for your home to locate you quickly.
