Weddington Road - Chase Inc (Leighton) Property
NCDOT has submitted a plan for the proposed new street off Wilrose to access the Chase, Inc. property. The Town Engineer and Planning Director will review this plan and report back to the Town Board
Update February 8, 2008 After review by the Town of Matthews it was found that this road on one lot would not meet the Town’s standards. NCDOT has acknowledged the fact that the road on one lot will not meet our standards – Chase Incorporated remnant – and it will not fit onto the Hulsom property as previously hoped.
As a result of these findings NCDOT is asking its rights-of-way acquisition folks to contact the property owner at the end of the cul-de-sac next to the Hulsom property to determine if this property owner is amenable to his property being acquired. It is NCDOT’s opinion that access to the Chase, Incorporated property will be easy to design if both properties are acquired.
