Weddington Road (widening from Trade St to Plantation Dr)

Good News! The NCDOT opened bids on this project on March 18^th and they were 7% below the budget estimate. This would now go to the Board of Transportation for a contract award at the April Board meeting and we may see this project crank up by the end of August. We will be working with the contractor, MPD, CMPD, NCDOT, and CDOT on a traffic control plan. This project is expected to take nearly a year.

This project will go to bid in March.  This project will require the full closure of Weddington Road for several weeks during the summer of 2008.
