Transportation Summit
I
n April, the Town held its first transportation summit. Leaders in transportation at the local, state and federal level gathered to brief the public on proposed transportation projects. Traffic in our region is a major concern for all of us.

Plans for interstate widening, toll roads bicycle paths, light rail, rapid bus, intersection improvements, new traffic signals etc. were all reviewed. The bottom line is all transportation projects are very expensive and take a considerable amount of planning before they come to fruition. All state, federal and local agencies are searching for sources of revenue in order to keep transportation improvement projects in this region on schedule. Presentations given at summit.

Newsletter
The Town newsletter will no longer be mailed to residents. The result of the recent surveys indicate no real objection to publishing the monthly issue online and having paper copies available at Town Hall, the Library, Community Center, and Recreation Center. This process will reinforce the Town’s communication efforts to provide residents timely information in a more efficient manner and will conserve resources. If you wish to have the newsletter e-mailed to you, please subscribe to this free service.
